Holiday Done

Well, my holiday is done and I must admit it was quite fun. Managed to do a lot of photography which was good and of the course the weather gave us the worst snow for twenty years, which is good if you don't have to go anywhere. As it is new year I have had a bit of a clear out - selling both my D80 and my D60. They are great cameras and I have had fun with them, but most of the time they remain in the camera bag whilst I concentrate on the D300S or the D90, which are faster and to be fair the IQ is better. I am also trying to shift my 32inch LCD TV that I have been using as a monitor, replacing it with something smaller with better colour definition. I want to calibrate it and eventually invest in an A3 printer - so what I see on the screen is what I print. The next step is to get into some galleries in the lakes and try and sell some of my stuff. Will be stressful but fun. Thanks for looking in.

Darth Squirrel

Bloody hell it is icy. I mean seriously bloody icy. Beyond Icy into the realm of Europa style iciness. Went back to a few old haunts today and caught this squirrel playing with his nuts. He looked particularly satanic for some reason so I funked it up. The first week of my holiday is nearly over. What a bummer.

Lucky Shot

Went shooting with the tripod in about 8 inches of snow - a really beautiful day - bright and not too cold. The light was just perfect. Did a load of HDR stuff and processed this wrong and it combined 2 different scenes, kinda like it. Lovely and relaxed today - I should take more time off more often. Thanks for looking in.

Evil Weather

Help, help I am trapped by the snow. It really dumped on Warrington this afternoon and now lies thick and nasty across the land. I guess it is cool that I am off work and I really fancy a snow ball fight.

Busy

First real day of my holiday and a busy one all in all. The weather is set cold for the foreseeable, possibility of heavy snow tomorrow as well. Now watching the Lakes - new series on ITV and feeling homesick. Would be nice if someone would lend me a few squillion quid so I can move home and just shoot photos all day.
